The International Mother Language Day, proclaimed by the General Conference of UNESCO in November 1999, has been observed yearly since February 2000 to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and
multilingualism. In our project, the children decided which words and expressions they would like to learn in other languages. Then they drew the words and made this online oral dictionary as well
as a printed one. Let’s share the opportunity to learn words in: English-Greek-Polish-Hungarian-Welsh-Romanian and Italian!!!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar in England!
We have been working hard in England to prepare our presentation for International day of Disabilities. We already knew the story of the Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, but it took us a long time to learn the title in all the languages of our partners. It was hard work! We have used the text from the book, read the story out loud and made our own items to help to tell the story. We have had a lot of fun making this presentation and we had to all work together. Thankyou to our partners for helping us with the title translantions. We hope you enjoy it!

Bardzo głodna gąsienica - Caterpillar in Polish animation
We had a great fun with animation of Eric Carle`s book. "The very hungry caterpillar" is titled as "Bardzo głodna gąsienica" in Poland. The story is whole the same, cause children are the same wherever in this world. Even if children have special needs, they love and play in the same way! We all love books! Caterpillar story was exeptional to animate. This time we also enjoyed learning titles in partners` languages! It was so funny to try those tongue twisters! Come and see how we did the task:

International Day of Disabled people-Ημέρα ατόμων με ειδικές ικανότητες
On 3rd of December we celebrated the International Day of Disabled people. We thought what we can do that day apart from feeling very lucky and thankful that we can all see-listen-speak and walk around. We decided to make a gift to all the children that cannot hear or see. We played the very famous storybook "The very hungry caterpillar"by Eric Carle by making sounds, so children who can't see will hear it. We also made signs with words and drawings so children who cannot hear could see our story!!Hope they will enjoy it!!
Here you can see a photo of children preparing the play:
